French design house founded in 2005 and a pioneer in France in the transformation of giant advertising tarpaulins, bilum is constantly innovating and working with ever new recovered materials: paper posters, packaging, uniforms, airbags, decorative fabrics, boat sails, jerseys sporting goods, flags, life jackets, seat covers for trains and planes… which find new life in bags, accessories, notebooks or pieces of furniture.
Cutting and cleaning are carried out in the bilum workshop, in Choisy le Roi, with the help of staff seconded from a social integration company. The confection is carried out by 7 partner workshops specialized in leather goods, textiles or stationery. Some are ESATs (accommodating people with disabilities), and all are located in France.
In 15 years bilum has upcycled 18 tons of materials and produced more than 250.000 unique and original pieces.
