Carbiolice develops, produces and markets biodegradation solutions to rethink the life cycle of plastics that cannot be recycled, in order to make them biodegradable and compostable.

Carbiolice has developed an innovative enzymatic process which accelerates the natural biodegradation of plastics of vegetable origin. This innovation, called Evanesto®, is an additive that is added during traditional plastic manufacturing processes. It accelerates the disintegration of PLA, a bioplastic from renewable resources such as corn or sugar cane, so that it is more easily assimilated by micro-organisms in a compost.

Finally, with Evanesto® inside, non-recycled products such as salad bags, yoghurt pots, trays, packaging films, or even packing bubbles, for example, can join apple peelings and marc coffee in a composter, even domestic. At room temperature and in less than 200 days (faster than the biodegradation of certain bio-waste), bioplastics are transformed into compost, without residue or toxicity.
