ORGANIC MATERIALS….

Offering you the best involves choosing the most recognized and rigorous label. Fil Etik requires the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS) label for these fabrics. The GOTS standard is an independent working group on organic and ethical textiles. Born under the impetus of IVN (the equivalent of our Ecocert, in Germany), it is a guarantee of confidence and quality in the textile industry. The GOTS label is not limited to the certification of organic farming (cotton, linen, hemp), it also requires very strict social and environmental responsibility throughout the production chain: from the cotton flower, to the finished fabric.

This translates, at the environmental level, into the prohibition of toxic and harmful chemical inputs. At the social level, all processors and manufacturers in the textile industry must respect social criteria, such as the abolition of child labor, freedom of association, adequate wages and decent working hours.

To do this, each intermediary, manufacturer or processor is audited every year by the organization.

OUR CARBON FOOTPRINT…

These days, most of the clothes we buy have traveled around the world before arriving in our closets. Fil Etik's carbon footprint on these supplies is also a primary concern. Thus, we favor short circuits and supply in Europe. Sourcing from beyond will always have an ethical purpose, such as supporting local development or craftsmanship.
