Created in 2016 by Guillaume Bensi, Green_e is a small French SME based in Rennes. Specialist in charging for smartphones, tablets and connected objects, Green_e transforms the entire conception and design of its charging accessories to the packaging with the promise: to offer a coherent, respectful and sustainable charging solution for the planet.

Green_e is committed to 3 fundamental points:eco conception of all their accessories, the compatibility perfect with all brands and the recycling complete to actively participate in the circular economy.

Green_e is the first brand of charging accessories to benefit from the European eco-design certification. Since 2019, it is also the only brand to display maximum level charging efficiency (VI): the chargers consume practically no electricity when plugged into an electrical outlet when empty and deliver the best powerful charge ratio for a low power consumption.

No more companies manufacture cables or chargers outside of Asia. Also, Green_e has chosen EcoTree as a partner that allows it to limit its carbon footprint. Indeed Green_e participates in the reforestation of French forests by replanting trees. Today, nearly 900 trees have been planted by Green_e, i.e. 15.37 tonnes of CO2 absorbed.

Green_e products reduce their ecological impact to a minimum: designed from recycled and/or recyclable materials of superior quality, cables and chargers are eco-designed in order to be easily transformed by recycling players. The resistance and durability tests carried out in the laboratory make it possible to guarantee the use of cables and chargers for 10 years.

Eco-designed, recycled and recyclable products and packaging 

Green_e is constantly working to reduce its carbon footprint by revisiting their packaging: reducing weight, reducing scrap during manufacturing, improving logistics, reducing waste and the waste of recyclable materials.

The brand is part of an eco-responsible relationship with its users by allowing them to extend the life of the batteries of their smartphones and help them better sort but above all recover their waste. With their new PLA packaging, Green_e participates in the circular economy with their innovative recycling kit, since 2018 it has been possible to return your old cable or charger free of charge to be recycled by their Norman partner WEEECYCLING. Specialized in the extraction of rare and precious metals from computer, electronic and Telecom waste.

What happens to the returned cables?

All the packaging received is sorted: the cables are removed from their packaging and separated into 2 parts. The cables and packaging are distributed in two different compartments. These parts are then ground in a granulator to obtain micro-granules which will be separated. Once reconditioned, the micro-granules are transported to French factories to be reused there in injectors which will manufacture new objects.

Green_e products are distributed at Carrefour, Leclerc, Auchan, Intermarché, Orange, Boulanger, Lyreco.
