Mobicoop is a cooperative company expert in shared mobility: home-to-work carpooling, long-distance carpooling, vehicle fleet management, solidarity mobility. With more than 11 years of experience, the cooperative works with 4 regions, 6 departments, 5 cities and several companies.

Since 2018, Mobicoop has been developing a service of Solidarity Mobility to spread mobility sharing to as many people as possible, regardless of age, geographic or health situation, and to all regions. The objective of this service is to optimize the meeting between the requests for mobility and the accompanying persons and this on different channels, the digital means not being accessible by all. 

Thus, all the mobility solutions available on the territory are integrated in order to avoid a fragmentation of the offer. In addition, this is organized in coherence with the associations already present which wish to work on this question. 

For this purpose, a website, an application and/or a switchboard are made available for the applicant to express his need. The local support network is aware of the available offers that can meet the need. So the coordinator examines the availability reported by volunteer drivers. Beforehand, the coordinator will also have examined the offers of public transport and carpooling which could have satisfied the demand. And as a last resort, the coordinator can request a professional driver. 

In this way, the solution provides people who are, in fact, excluded from free mobility, the means to go to a professional, medical or administrative interview, to do their shopping or quite simply to visit their relatives.

Thus, Mobicoop acts with the territories and their local authorities to switch to ecological and united mobility. The objective is for car sharing to become the rule and a means of combating social exclusion. Mobicoop thus works to promote the common good of shared mobility.
