In 2008, Thomas Tschirren from Solothurn and his friends looked for a way to farm shrimp locally and in a gentle way.

From breeding to logistics to recycling their packaging, they emphasize the careful treatment of animals and the environment.

They consistently refrain from using antibiotics. They only harvest when you order. This is how they together reduce food waste.

Their prawns are raised in 16 large saltwater tanks (40 x 5 meters each) and are fed with certified organic raw materials.

Their shrimp farm is located right next to the Riburg saltworks in Rheinfelden. This is where they get the salt (NaCl) for their sea salt blend.
