Between May 12 and June 12, 2020, bicycle sales increased by 117% in France. An explosion in sales due to the health crisis but also to the government's boost.
Did you know ? The State has just set up a bonus of 200 euros for the purchase of an electrically assisted bicycle (VAE). And even better: this device is not reserved only for individuals. It is also aimed at businesses, communities and associations.

What are the advantages of cycling for your company and your employees?
PERFORMANCE
- The average number of absenteeism days among employees who cycle to the office is less than 7,4 days less per year, ie a 15% drop in absenteeism.
- By cycling, on average, 4 km every evening and every morning, your employee improves his mood and increases his life expectancy by two and a half years.
SPEED
- For journeys of less than 5 km, the bike is faster. A cyclist rides at 15 km/h in town, while the average speed of vehicles is 14 km/h. No more reason to arrive late because of traffic jams!
ECONOMICAL:
- Reduction of expenses related to the use of the car: fuel, maintenance, repair, insurance, parking...
- Companies subject to corporation tax (IS) that provide their employees with bicycles free of charge for commuting can benefit from a tax reduction equal to 25% of costs incurred for the purchase, rental or maintenance of the electric bicycle fleet.
ECO-FRIENDLY:
- The bike does not emit fine particles or polluting gases. Unlike most scooters, cars, buses and trucks driving around big cities, which are the main sources of air pollution.
Mobility plan: new regulations for companies?
Article 51 of the law on energy transition for green growth, of August 17, 2015, made the implementation of mobility plans mandatory for all companies with at least 100 employees on the same site.
